誰でも好きな曲には思い出や思い入れがあると思いますが、稀に、宿命的な出会いを感じるような曲があります‥‥。
このエピソードは、Lorelei De Lux（ローレライ・デラックス）というスウェーデンのグループにまつわる体験談です。
ネットでチェックした曲はデータベースで管理してるんですが、それによると、最初の出会いは2004年1月13日。
ネットラジオをチェックしていた私は、女子ヴォーカルのエレポ（スウェーデン語）を耳にしました。
プレイウィンドウでアーティスト名と曲名をチェックしたら、アーティストはLorelei De Lux、曲タイトルは"Safari"とありましたが、いずれも初めて見る名前でした。
印象深い曲だったので、さっそく作品が流通していないか調べてみたのですが‥‥どこにもありませんでした。
データベースのメモには‥‥
「セールス情報どこにもなし。http://stage.vitaminic.se/main/lorelei_de_lux/all_tracks/
に音源あり」とあります。（※このURLは、現在は存在していません）
稀少な作品ほどCDが欲しくなるものですが、入手不可能と判り、ダウンロード素材を大切に聴いていました。

さて、話は飛んで2004年初夏。
私はドイツで開催されている、WGT(Wave Gotik Treffen)というゴシックフェスティバルを見に、ライプツィヒという町を訪れました。開催２日目（だったと思う）、Coilというアーティストのライブを見るため、市電に乗りました（残念ながらCoilは、この年に事故で他界してしまいました）。
電車を降り、会場までの道順が判らずウロウロしていると、前を歩いていた長身の男性も同じように道に迷っている様子。何となく、お互いの様子を察して苦笑い。いっしょに場所を探しながら会場まで行くことになりました。
男性はSteveという名で、スウェーデンからバスで14時間かけてやってきたと話しました。
スウェーデンでは自身でイベントをプロモートしたり、知人といっしょにレーベルもやっていると言い、プロモ用に持参したレーベルのデモ盤をプレゼントしてくれました。
日本ではまったく流通していないであろう珍品を手に入れ、大喜び。
でももっと驚かされるのは帰国後、そのデモ盤を聴いた時のこと！！
なんと！あれだけ探しても見つからなかったLorelei De Luxの"Safari"が、そのCDに収録されていたのです！！！
あのとき、Coilのライブを見に行ってなかったら？
あの市電に乗っていなかったら？
あそこで道に迷っていなかったら？
そしてSteveに出会ってなかったら‥‥！？
これはもう、天文学的な確率とか言いようがありません！
このことは、すぐにSteveにもメールで知らせました。
彼もすごく驚いて、友人やレーベル仲間にこの話をしまくっているそうで（笑）、今では双方の逸話になっています。

Supposedly everyone has special memory in your favourite music.
Sometimes I have awesome experience that feels me a fate.This is an episode
that's related to a Swedish synthpop group, names Lorelei De Lux.
I usually check internet-radio station, when I bumped into a cool stuff, I put
the informations into the database.
According my database, the very first encounter was January 13th, 2004.
I was listening to net radio, and caught a unique swedish lyric tune.
The play windows told me that's artist is Lorelei De Lux, the track is "Safari".
They were not familiar to me.
I was curious the details, wanted more informations, searched on the internet.
But I could not get any practical informations.
The memo I had that day says "No sales information
on the net. only the website http://stage.vitaminic.se/main/lorelei_de_lux/all_tracks/
has their sound file."

I wanna get CD specially if it's rare, but mostly had to give up this time.
I listened to the downloaded sound.

May in 2004, we've been to German city Leipzig, to see the biggest gothic festival
in the world "WGT (Wave Gotik Treffen)".
On the second day, we took a train to see a gig of Coil, (Badly he's passed
away in the same year.)
Got off the train, we could not find the exact direction for the venue.
Just front of me, I found a guy who seemed also missing the direction.
We've looked each other, found both of us are missing direction, and laughed
the ungainly situation.
We started to walk together with searching the place.
On the way, he told us his name is Steve, came from Sweden by 14-hour bus trip.
Steve is not only a well informed music listener but also promotes events, manage
a label in Sweden.
He gave us a compilation CD brought for promotion.
I was so excited with a super rare gift that must be only a copy in Japan!
But that was not the end.
The awesome experience happened after we've backed to Japan.
The intensely wanted track"Safari' was contained in the CD!!!!!
If we didn't go to see Coil's gig?
If we didn't take the train?
If we didn't miss the direction?
And if we didn't meet Steve?!
What an extremely astronomical probability!!
I sent e-mail Steve to told the story.
He replied me he's also got a big surprise, and tell to a lot of people an amazing
story like a legend :-D
